Hi. Can anyone tell me how to remove the top part of the front suspension on my 92 nova. I need to separate the top bit so that i can put new spring and shock to it? Any ideas???

Get a pair of Vice Grips and stick them on tightly, that should get you away.

^^ possibly the worst advice ever! lol

get springs clamps (as stated), a swan neck 19mm spanner and an 8mm spanner or ratchet. undo then remove the tophat. take to new sus, reclamp the spring and away you go...

ps if your asking this its rather evident that youve not got a haynes manual. Seel "knowlege" link in my sig lol

remove the front stuts form the car and take them to a garage or a tyre and exhaust place and get them to put a air gun on them but clamp your springs first

Wrong, if we had said cut them out with a consaw while smoking a cigarette in a garage filled with highly flamible substances with a 220volt bare cable tied round his tool while kneeling on the switch, that would be the worst advice ever.
