cav engine; 70 odd brake. carb'ed i think. Depends on wot u want really; but its only 1.3 sr power, and possibly not as torquey, revvy.. Better with 1600 out of gte/gsi - 100ish bhp std then.

sounds cheesy/cheeky, but swapping it for a E16se/C16se is the cheapest and easiest way. These engines are plentyful, ?100-?300. Ude never find 30, 40 bhp out of the cav 1600 for that money.
16SV=Around 80ish bhp IIRC.
As above, the cheapest way to more power, is a better engine.

Naw ave just swaped it am no swaping it again for another 8v a will play with this enging for a bit then time for a 16v so a can pump ma m8s 1.2 16v lol :wink:
