Its all the media's fault!

the traffic outside my house is fantastic. i live about 6 doors away from petrol station. its funny as.
especially when the police have said they will convoy all petrol wagons out of refineries
its mostly the BBC's fault by only mentioning it today on the news as if its "breaking news" so the fuel lobby appear to be unreasonable cnuts and force joe public out to mass buy fuel when they dont need it....
i saw a 70yr old bloke fill 2 jerry cans aswell as his grim looking metro lmao. i think it does about 30miles a year...
im filled with 60 litres, hoepfully that will do till friday. then ill just forget the rest lol
do remember its a 3 day strike only

heh, tescos and morrisons here are queued right up. Mine's already full (filled a couple of days back) and I don't need my car, so can live without it.... :D
But yeahm its bloody crazy, everyone has just crammed into the petrol stations... There's been rumours of action for weeks now, and yet everyone has left it til the last minute to fill up

i wated for 45 mins at a morrisons garage lastnight 2 find out when its my turn 2 fill up thair out of unleaded this is stupid
Go to Shell an buy Optimax - sure, its more expensive but as nobody else seems to use it (local shell garage gets all kinda cars in, Ferraris, Astons, Nobles, Jaguars, etc and they all use normal unleaded lol) there will be plenty of it about
I drove to my local shell station and filled up straight away, well pretty much some nobber had a piss and bought some food while i was waiting behind him in the que. It was stupid at about 8-11pm tho cars queing all over the place lol Daft get's panic buying.

( B )dedfords nearly dry , theyve even got people marshalling the courts telling folks to leave the pumps , park up and then pay - the queues are that massive. Thank god Mines now full for ?20 . Three days or not , folks are panicking , and I,ll bet there,ll be a few fisties at the pumps by the end of this Tuesday. And who said television was the drug of the nation ?
filled mine, bloody ?31 to fill it lol
think it was 96.9, drove in and drove stright out lol, no waiting :D

Maybe not the best choice of time to fit the twin 45's on my XE day to day Nova but its done now. Only got ?10 worth of petrol in it so about 50 miles max :o
Using fiancee's 1.4 Polo instead as its much better on petrol, lucky we work at the same place!!
This is quite an interesting read about oil/petrol disputes if you have a few minutes to kill:

I'm okay. I've converted the car to run on Heinz bake beans. If they become short supplied, I can run it on Tesco Value beans. Not the same performance, but it will have to do.

Will do but think they are the same as all the other carbs, thought the airbox was the rare thing.
lmfao the fuel protests were a flop, i love it. all that bollocks panic for nothing
lmfao I was thinking that... the "blockades" haven't blockaded anything from what I've heard, and any protesters that did were sharply moved on by the law
Once again Joe Public has played right into the hands of the government
apparently the biggest turnout was at a shell refinery where (wait for it ) 12 protesters turned up lol

In reaction to the sillyness of all things currently to do with fuel , I think it,d be a good idea for us all to cycle to work in the morning , and peddle alongside each other at about 10 abreast , thus blocking the road . And if this doesnt work I,ll get a brazillian wax , then a pubic wig , just for the winter like.
Borat for PM - start voting.

one thing that comes to mind is get a life you stupid tossers. People get excited at the smallest thing, i mean its only 3 days it should be done for 3 weeks but really hardcore.
I panicked and put some extra air in my bikes tyres, just in case. Maybe I shouldn't have as I feel a bit guilty now.
It's the people panic buying that cause the fuel shortages. If everyone was to carry on like normal it'd be fine.
you want people not to do somethng, then tell them not to do it in the media. They are gauranteed to do it.
Good advertising campaign for any product. Advertise that there is NO shortage and stocks ARE high. By the end of the day, you will have sold out.
My cars been down to nearly the red for a few days, which is when I usually think about putting a tenner in at some point in the next couple of days after.
I didn't bother rushing out to join the back of a 40 minute queue after a plastic box in the corner told me to because I'm not a mug.
Did you and are you?
well the fuel light was on, on monday. Had to get to work for the rest of the week :p and i only waited about 10 mins, which is about the same ammount of time i wind up waiting at the usual station anyway... lol
stations round here ran out, but they got petrol again now lol
