or where ever you get yours from lol

open the options menu

in the connect part. put your user name.

then in servers part, click "ADD"
IRC SERVER: irc.novaload.net
PORT: 6667

now hit connect to server

you will connect, then type /join #novaload

and for trivia /join #trivia

to enter the chat room(s) automatically when logging in do this:

within options in the connect menu, high "perform"
and paste the /joins in there and this will make the rooms open at login.

you have to do whats called idling lol. get mirc and just leave it open in your tray, program it so that when someone says your name, mirc goes mad. i do this, and the amount of people that join and quit after each other is quite funny. if you all stayed for a bit, so would everyone else. common sense says lots of people would be in there then :P

you two could have had good chat ( i was downstairs lol)

in mirc options (folder and hammer pic) theres a + tickbox for irc, open that so it gives you more options. you'll find highlight in there.

"add" your nicknames if you go by more than one. and also add $me...that will highlight your name that you join irc with.

e.g add $me and im sh0rty, but if someone says sam, i wont get flashed. so i do both :)

you also need to tick highlight - flash message, change colour (so that it highlights your name in colour) and put message in - oiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii lol, and change it to nickname and message - OK

The mIRC cabinet is named mirc616.exe (1302528). This cabinet is a self-extracting executable. The built-in mIRC installer will activate and help you to install or upgrade mIRC. To get a fast and reliable download choose a location from the list below that is close to you. It really does not matter what download location you pick, all files are the same!

mIRC 5.91 - 16 bit, for Windows 3.1 and 3.11
mIRC 5.91 was the last version that came in both a 32 and a 16 bit issue. Over the past years less and less people were using the 16 bit issue. All current Windows versions work with the 32 bit issue. There are no configurations left that demand for the 16 bit issue on Windows 95 and above. Old 16 bit winsocks do not exist anymore. These considerations made us stop development of the 16 bit mIRC issue. The 16 bit mIRC 5.91 cabinet is named mirc591s.exe (16bit, 1070080). You can still download this older version from the locations in the list below.
