Help fitting a body kit!!!

:D Hi can any 1 help :?: i have a delta 2 front bumper and a L shaped piece of fiberglass thay supplyed dose any 1 know the delta website or have pis or diagrams of a delta 2 being fitted or simmilar :?: :?: :?: Thanks for the help guys :!: :!: :!:

i'm guessin the L shaped fibreglass is to hold the bumper up in the middle. my mate had two of these though, one underneath each headlight. just screwed the sides then.

i also had the delta 2 bumper, bolted it all down the side (all down the arch) then bent a bit of the slam panel for the bumper to rest on.(did the same as your L bracket will. hope this helps.

i would imadgion you will need 2 make brackets 2 bolt the bumper 2 you car
and my opnion (delta styling is pants)

i had an aftermarket bumper! but it didnt get fitted in the end as i was so sick of making brakets and it not lying right, so i went for the easy option and got a gsi bumper smoothed it out, big mouthed it and put a splitter on the bottom. looks nice and just bolts on with the origonal bumper iron!!! :lol:

what are you gona use?

i used normal filler and fibreglass on my first go with a mk2 bumper but as soon as you flex the bumper it cracks so i used iopson bumper filler on this and its fine!

i guess thats me using that good old trail and error again!!

yes that will do as ive smoothed my lines and ive bigmouthed it just need 2 put an inwardlip on it 2 make it look pro done

Thanks guys i will have a go at spliting the bracket i take it you need to trim the top lip of the bumper as i dont think it fits to gd :roll: im a big fan of the delta 2 bumper but i think its going to be a cnut to fit :!: :!: :!:

i had to trip alot of the top lip for it to sit properly.has yourgot like a rough line across the top. i found if i cut along the line it fitted perfect. it was if it was just exess from the mold and they were too lazy to cut it off.
i got the bumper in my shed if you become unsure about sumut and want pics.also got loads of em on my old car.

Yeap please post some pics my car is also a mk 2 with a similar bonnet and on that subject how do tou open the bonet with the grill in as i cant reach the latch :roll: was thinkin drilling the latch and putting a bit of wire on to push or pull :?: :| :?:

some people take thair grill off or dont put any mesh on it i brought one of them quad convershion badboy bonnet skins i just end up cuting the lip off mine i regret it now tho :?

the bonnet when i had it didn't have a catch but whatever ya do don't remove it else ya car might end up like mine did.

some people cut a hole in the grill but i'm now thinkin of usin a solenoid to pull the catch on my next one.some sort of cord might work aswell.

yeah the bonnet spring unscrewed it self on the motorway. i pulled into the hard shoulder and then a half a sleep lorry driver clipped me.

about ?4000 with all the parts. i got pretty much everythin off it, repaired the rear bumper so i havn't lost much.started buildin another one for next year, its gonna be a pure show car though.

Wot about the after burner lamps can you get spairs i have the same and wonderis if i broke 1 could i replace it?

the lenses are actually off a land rover and found on some caravans.
quad conversions probably just buy em from people like www.s-v-c.co.uk. my m8 just bought loads for his land rover, carn't remeber where hegot em from.
