View Full Version : digi dash is it hard to wire up please please help

just bought a digi dash,got it out of gte astra have all the wires and sensors.but my mechanic doesnt have time to wire it,going to do it myself but dont know where to start :oops:

IIRC its just a case of:-
Cut the wiring connector off the nova loom, wire on the digidash connector to the nova loom, colour for colour i think it is.

Then plug that connector in to the digidash, fit the digidash to the car.

Then fit the digidash transducer into the gearbox.

*I am presuming you have a mk2 dash, IIRC its quite a bit more difficult to put one into a mk1 dash*

Right LL, its a MK2 Astra Digi Dash and theres 2 sets of wirings pluged into the Back of it. Which set of wires do we cut and whats the others for? Also, we have 3 or more brown and blacks, whats these for? The transducer has a brown, black and a Blue wire with e red stripe up it. Its simple to wire the Blue?red one but the others, which of the three Brown and Black ones do we use?

AFAIK
Join the nova loom colour to colour, onto the astra plugs.
You should have a bit of the loom left on the plugs out the astra.
So join that bit of loom to your nova loom.

but how sure are u that its that easy to join them, everyone i have been talkin to says its a very hard job to wire it up..
