The wheel's offset is the distance from its hub mounting surface to the centerline of the wheel

It really determines how far ya wheels stick out or go in!!!

OffSet:
This is the measurement of the distance between the centre line and the back of the mounting surface within the wheel arch, basically how far the wheel stick out of the arches and there are different measurements for every different car so you need to make sure you know your offset when purchasing an alloy or just tell the dealer what car you've got and they should recommend you.
