Fast Lupo!!

Hi all
Was on way back from Trax yesterday and had a play with this thing.

Got the jump on me as wasn't expecting him to floor it!! Managed to keep the gap but my god its quick!!
If i was ready and not still in 5th at about 60mph might av been different but who knows.

Thats one awesome lupo! Something you just dont expect to give you any trouble, especially in a Nova like yours!

Considering it has a 20v turbo init you did pretty well, we went down to venom last year to pick up some coilovers for my golf and he was telling us about this thing. He was breaking shafts left right and centre tho (sound familer) awesome little car to be honest. Shame its green( yuk)

1/4 MILE OF 12.9 would be a realistic time for the spec.
By the time i had pulled into the outside lane he already had a gap on me, gutted really would av liked to av been up his arse!! (not literally!!)

Must say i thought the car looked awsome.

this car was a feature in redline a few months ago it was tuned down fromsumming like 400bhp!!! becoz it fell to bits but hell yeah good on you keeping up with that

Just rang Venom.
They have sold the car but it was running about 240bhp with a Quaife box
but it weighed about 1000kg so brake/ton were about equal.
Wish now i had dropped it to 4th and tried harder!!!

owner also has a turbo'd golf vr6 and a 20v engined golf rallye :o

i saw it pulled over either on m1 or m6 on way home from trax in hard shoulder.. lol. didnt look that quick to me. cool ass spec though.

I know Richard Baron who owns Venom, he used to play rugby. Nice guy, and he took me out in the lupo when i bought some stuff for my golf. It's got the Audi 225bhp engine (out of the TT/S3) with upgraded turbo etc. and said it was 240bhp at the WHEELS!!! It was a quick wee motor, we went on some backroads in Blackburn.

He was saying that he had reliability issues if he had the boost any higher, and was selling it to build a mega-spec mk2 golf next....
