best bet is just to buy a new processor...

or clean up any unwanted programs or spyware

www.download.com look for adaware that removes any unwanted spyware on your pc

thats a free/full program u just update it regulary well it prompts u and u just hit connect and its done in about 2-3minutes tops

Processor or even ram... Or even just reformatting your pc can speed it up

Or changing operating systems... When i used xp for a while i noticed when i switched back to windows millenium it was faster. :P

over clocking will speed ur computer up but its not recommended if you dont know much about computers. as said xp can slow some computers down, had ME but i had loads of problems with it, so 98 may be better. tbh computer components dont cost f/a these days so have a go at building one.

after getting a crack for some software last nite my pc filled up with rubbish so i ran ad-aware and removed all 20 crap programs it listed. removed a few otehr apps that i dont use and cleared my desptop down to the bare minimum with a small sized image. the thing runs a lot faster now!

just basically ahve a good ole clearout of any crap thats installed or in the recycle bin etc..

im on 2K and its great, i hate XP on "slow" machines

Cut out all of the above and install Linux. Job done. :P
