what is the diff between twin 40 webbers and dellortos and which is the best to go for??

Dellortos are a newer design IIRC.
There aint much difference between them, both do the job.

webers are a little bit "better" supported eg pretty much all carb tuning folks will know webbers like the back of their hands. where as dellortoes are a litte less well supported in that respect but more places should be able to get you going....

dellortos have better progression circuits and the jets also come in finer sizes which will allow more accurate mapping

although u can make weber jets finer using dellorto drills

mains for instance on webers increase in 5's dellortos come in 1's iirc
