How good is the BMC CDA on a xe ? reason i ask is im buying a universal one (still flippin expensive at ?140) for my golf, only i dont want to fit it till next yr........so im gonna lend it to my mate Simon (royal blue 2.016v) Srimon i think, and wondered if it will work well with his engine, ie any info etc ?

well it shud work better than an normal open/unsealed induction kit, as the bmc is sealed. Shudn't suck in the hot engine bay heat as it has a cold air feed supply straight into the filter. Providing the fitment diameter are the same.

It'll work much better than any open air filteras the filter element is sealed and away from any engine heat, thus gets a better cold air feed, if a feed is fitted well...
