as nobody wants to sell me their mk1 1.3 sr or mk2 1.4 sr, ive resorted to looking for a tidy mk2 shell which i can do a conversion on!

my mate/mechanic has found me a mint mk2 shell, red in colour 2door hatch, problem is, its got a cra**y 1.0 lump, and my mechanic has quoted me 100 notes to do any conversion i want on it!

so im thinking a 1.4 8v mpi lump with f13 box, was just wondering though what else id need and what id need to do to get it running!

i know id need lump, grbox, fuel tank and pump, wiring loom and ecu, injection system, inlet and outlet manifolds!

what else?

cheerz!

Think You Need To Move One Of The Mounts, If It's A 1.0L

Thats what im doing now, couldnt find a clean sr so have now bought a 1.2 fun and am throwing a 1.4 in to it.
I believe that all the engine mounts are the same on novas apart from the diesel engine mounts.

seriously dude learn to drive on the road for more than a minute and then do the conversion,

atm a 1.2 would be plenty fast enough around town why swap for a 1.4?

so you have more power? which will coincidentally mean u have more chance of driving like a lunatic, more chance of hitting something and more chance of doing damage to anything else on the road,

theres enough dicks on the road at the moment trying to make their cars faster than the rest, does it really matter that much? theres not even that much dif between a std 1.2 and a std 1.4

God u really are a cock.

I want to do the conversion to learn how to do engine conversions.
It is people like u that give young people a bad name by tieing everyone by the same brush.
What ur about 19/20ish and u own a crx vtec? And u tell me to learn the road uve gone from a shitty lil 1.3 to a 1.6 vtec. that is a big jump.
Now fuk off back to ur shitty lil world of hondas and leave the nova fans to get on with there business.

What ur about 19/20ish and u own a crx vtec? And u tell me to learn the road uve gone from a s**t lil 1.3 to a 1.6 vtec. that is a big jump.

if you was here right now i'd bitch slap ur lil ass,

fact is dude plan and simple your doing the swap because you want more power, don't no why u can't admit that, maybe thats the rubbish you've been trying to memorise to tell everybody when they ask what the point was....?

...u do talk rubbish kid

by the way i'm 19 i've been on road for the last 2 and abit years, driven about 15k miles, and I've built up a 2 yr ncb, thus proving i roughly know how to handle a car, so so what if I've bought another more powerful car? jealous? knob jockey....

grow up dude, the only people that do things just to learn something whch puts them in a not much better situation than then they started is baxter and burgo...

changing from a 1.2 to a 1.4 isnt really going to teach you much about engine conversions as it is direct replacement, you should be putting an XE in there to learn how to do them properly

WTF u tell me to grow up ur the one making threats over an internet forum and calling me a moron. U dont like what my plans are u dont have to read them. Everytime i read a thread by u my 1st thought is what does this (unt want now. I might come out wit sum crap at times but u are no better than me. U might have 2 years no claims and a driving license but that doesnt make u a good driver. A piece of paper doesnt make u a good person and a driving license doesnt make u a good driver.
Now piss off i cba talkin to a knob like u.

Hopefully doing a Let conversion with my mate on his corsa, so should teach me abit. Plus with the 1.4 we all have to start somewhere and this being one of the easiest conversions it will be a good eyeopener.

And boredbloke i cant be assed with u anymore we are just going to go round in circles. I dont come on foruums to ahve arguements with people who dont agree with what i say i come on to talk about novas. If u dont like what i say dont read my posts. Simple really.

How u think i feel mate, all i did was give u a bit of help by saying about the mount and a get jumped on. If u want engine conversion advise use migweb.
