FWD for a nova
whats your opinion on 40's on a 20xe?
thanks
ben.
even with my lack of knowledge lol id suggest that 40's arent up to it if you take it much past basic low level mods......

formula vauxhall lotus single seaters ran 40s on the 2.0L XE as part of the spec from Swindon racing engines.
They are fine on a std engine up to 180hp

I ran 40's on my valver about 4 years ago. Just used an inlet for 40's/45's.
It gave a load of low rev torque, and I always did standing starts from 2nd gear.
I ran 36mm chokes iirc, which are the largest available for 40's, but peak power was less than 45's.....just over standard iirc, but loads of low down grunt.
