Right guys,

Getting prepped up ready to rebuild my C20LET an I want to paint the engine block so it looks nice & tidy - what paint would you recommend????

Cheers

Silver paint...

...oh you mean what type of paint...Might be worth getting the block chemically cleaned. Otherwise, try hammerite smooth? I used hammerite smooth on my head and rocker and it came out really well.

I used a cheaper brand of engine lacquer on my front calipers, the color and coverage was no-where near that of good old hammerite. Smooth black might look nice, but maybe a little standard-looking for you Joff!!

Clean it down with diesel Joff and then wire brush it all up before power washing it off and then cover it in hammerite smooth, but personally I wouldnt do the head, just the block, and leave the sump too, I think they look better with a bit of a contrast between the black and grey
