Ignition/fueling

Just a quick one really for the lads running 16se on T40

What ignition/coil set up are you running and what fueling system are you running.

I've just read a std GSI dizzy and coil will be fine and cause no problems as it has mech advance and retard and not controlled by the ecu.

As for the Fueling, its currently carb's atm so was thinking about running a facet low pressure fuel pump (3-4psi) as i intended to use the GSI/GTE fuel tank seeing as it has a swirl pot.

the 1.6 gte/gsi stuff will work, but you wont be able to advance it yourself as it IS ecu controlled. What you need is a 1.4 Bosch setup, it looks nearly identcle to the 1.6 stuff but its slightly different (helpfull i know)

Fuelling.
you can change the cam carrier to a 1.2-1.4 item and then use the mechanical pump with regulator, but thats a pain in the ass as you have to take the head off etc. so yeah a facet carb pump will do fine. just need a mpi tank to get the siwrl pot there.

what of the 1.6 ign have you got?

you will need the dizzy fo sho. might be able to use the 1.6 coil and ign module if your lucky.....
