I've been pondering on buying some of thes recently and i think i have the answer in this thread so hopefully i will have a set soon

i believe they lower the car 35-40mm so it should be good

jepp, they do the job. The kitt is put together by bilstein. Spesaly testeded dampers with springs. I belive it was atended for the cup series

its all good until you strip a car and reduce the weight, which is when i had to go to coilovers, as even with -60mm springs on the billy dampers i was riding at around standard 1.2 height

ah, i see. That wont bee my problem as the xe weigh more than the original engine. But will the handeling become poor, if the lowering becomes to low, or is that just my experience. (the lowering springs was not exactly top of the line...)

What kinda money do they work out for the pair? I've the Eibach springs but shit gas shocks.

My old Shark nose 323i Had Blue Billies (think they were blue) also that insanely thick rod and the Eibach springs, handled like a dream.

Its not the front youll have a problem with, its the rear!. i had exactly the same problem as Dan with my Valver, check out my pics through my clicky below, thats with 60mm springs on the rear!!

Im in the market for some coileys now!!

ok, so this problem with shitty handling is mostly caused by the rear end beeing to high. This problem was with a nova and a c20let engine. And this was a 60/60mm lowering.
I belive i payd around 8000nok for my kitt. prox 670 ?

There is another way of getting the rear end of a stripped out nova lower in the back end without fitting coilovers

If you just keep winding those coliovers to lower the back end of the car you are actually reducing the suspension travel.

I spent a long time looking at and working on my set up, It's lower than most peoples now in the rear but i still got full length suspension travel up and down  :D 8)

not trying to split hairs here, but its not the piston rod is it? aren't they replaceable inserts and kind of upside down compared to normal on the wide platform bilstein struts like on the strut bodies for 2 1/4 coilovers?

someone please correct me if I'm wrong
