In-car aerial replacement

Has anybody replaced their external radio aerial with an interior one? I presume it'll be quite easy, just a wire running from the rear of the headunit? Do you make your own aerial or buy a suitable one?

just connect the aerial up to a bee sting and hide it behind the plastic cover on the front windscreen pillar.
