Right, am after some 80mm drop rear springs.

I phoned Coilsprings, who said they could make them for ?94 delivered, but they said that the spring would fall out unless it was attatched to the rear beam itself.

Just wondered if anyone has got springs like these, and if so how have they attached them to the rear beam?

Many thanks,

Rob.

travel limiters are what you want ;)

get an old seat belt and jack the car up until the spring just starts to come away from the cup, then lower it down a couple of mm...

undo the shock top and bottom mounts then cut the sealtbelt so that it fits the distance between the beam mount and body mount (add a couple of inches either end to fold it over..... get 2 M12 washers per bolt hole and place them where you want the hole (on doubled up bits) then with a hot 12mm drill bit make a hole. do this in all appropriate places and then fit the shocks and belts inplace.

jack the car up further with them fitted and see that the springs dont fall out ;)

a cunning mod i thought of as i was fitting the back end back together

Actually - do you have any pictures of the above description?

Would be super helpful if so!

Cheers,
