Right, i've the paintwork sorted, the bumpers and tyres and well,there is no interior, but what about the engine. How do i get rid of old spilt oil and the thick black shit all over the block and gearbox? I've a GTE box that came along with a engine with a huge hole in the bottom end, so you can imagine how it looks. Any idead what to do?

"gunk" or any decent engine degreaser will work. Halfords do LOADS.

I degreased my ond 1.2 block ages ago - plastered this stuff on, left it for a while, protected the electrics and jet washed it off.

Came up a treat.

You dont need to jet wash it mind - you can just wipe on and wipe off - karate kid stylee

if its really caked get the fecker out the bay and give it a ruddy good scrubbing! clean the bay whilst your there.
