Im sure ive read somewhere that you can fit the electric mirror internals from an astra gte into a nova mirror?
if this is true has anyone done it and how was it to do?
i have a spare astra gte thats all and want to use everything i can before i scrap the car.
Cheers,
Tony.
I've been thinking about this too. In theory the early vauxhall range had a host in interchangeable parts that with some small mods could work. I dont see any reason why the mirrors wont either.
You'll need to dissassemble the astra mirrors and study the internals - seeing whether they can be grafted into the nova mirrors Size wise they should work. Its basically a series of small motors on wires which more the mirror
As for the electrics these will be very straight forward - I'd think a couple of wires and a fuse. You'll obviously need to trace the wires and note where they are located. prob need to split them from another loom (prob bundled with central locking/windows etc...)
When youve done it post a guide...
ade
i have seen the whole mirror fitted , and it looked smart

i was told today that vauxhall offered the nova electric mirrors (or mirror) as an optional extra?
Has anyone got any more info on this??
and has anyone got them for sale?
Cheers
Tony.
