I am looking for some subs to add to my install, i am a student on a serious budget so its cant be any thing exspensive at all!!
Was up at motor world the other day and was looking at some new SPLX square subs, they look pritty swanky! i know some ppl say that SPLX arent very good but i used to have a set of 6x9's in the rear parcel shelf and they used to pump! so was wondering if any one has these subs in there car?know any one that has them? got any pictures?

The guy over the road from me had 2 12" SPLX subs and a big chrome looking Amp...... sounded ok-ish... although my single 12" sony sub and sony amp kicked more than his and was only about ?25 more, 2 weeks into owning it the amp blew and he had to shell out on a new amp anyways! .... check out this website, they sell pretty cheap, half decent stuff.... http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/product_list/c_path/60_98_171/spd/single-12-sub-amp-deal.html Whats wrong with any of the deals on that page eh? check ebay out - I was in the same boat about 9 months back...keep an eye out for a Vibe black air 10 , its a sub /amp combo and only needs a wiring kit - they kick ass - normally go for about ?50 - 60ish.

mate ıf u on a tıght budget for subs why dont u get 2 12'' JBL GT4's u can get them for 50 quıd each brand new ın motorworld ıve got 1 10'' GT4 and ıt propper shakes my car lıke u can feel the bass ım runnın a 600watt JBL amp aswell ıts one of the new ones out there 200 quıd ın motorworld

make sure u buıld the box to the rıght volume of aır space for the sub to work propply and port ıt coz ıt gıve a nıce bass note hope thıs ıs any help

well I just popped an splx bass tube in the wifes runner , and at ?32 it aint bad........

iv got 2x 8" splx in my boot, just for the time, untill i can be arse to do a boot build!

there not that bad!
alot more boom boom than my old white car for some reason

i think it could be the subs are 500watt max and im putting 1800watts thru both of them :D
