ok i know what engine i want, the interiors easy, but the exterior :?

whats the best look for a track car ,

i've seen track cars with body kits

put a splitter on it, eyebrow spoiler, rear spoiler

put a gsi kit on it

leave it looking standard, except for bonnet pins all over it

GTE kit ,bearing in mind it will be on a mk2

i'm stuck with this lol , don't know what to do

imo i think that this is the best look for a track day car. bonnet pins on the bumpers and bonnet maybe the boot to give it the rally look woth mudflaps and white alloys.

leave it looking standard, except for bonnet pins all over it

i'd leave it how it is, just have some black rims on it, maybe mud flaps

on your's at the mo mate i'd go;

anthracite(or unpainted) GSi bumpers
white mo's (or your wheels if you prefer)
red sparco mud flaps
an outline'd vinyl square on each door (to put a number in "rally stylee")
also one small one on the tailgate (L or R hand side) also one on the bonnet

would suit the track slag look

maybe add a few "sponsor" type stickers about

sounds spot on to me that, i'd leave it just like that 8)

wouldn't bother as such with styling, keep it nice and simple looking, nova's looks best like that anyway

looks smart that, exactly how i like nova's lol,

get it fully painted white, with the black/grey bumper's and it would look spot on

this is one of my fav nova's pictured below

a gsi bumper would look good ste, but i'd have to drill holes in it, plus the standard bumpers are cheaper

Ste L

true, not saying do it, i think the standard mk2 bumpers looks good aswell, especially when not colour coded, maybe add a laguna splitter, make it look a tat bit lower, other than that, if yours was mine, i'd leave it as it is 8)

Leave it like it is mate.. Do you really need the pins in the front bumper thpugh mate?

Also, isn't a Sunroof a big no no in a track car?

Mike.
25-08-05, 09:20 PM
not realy, there are things to make the sunroof safer, was thinking about taking the glass out and replacing it with perspex, or i could put a net under it

you can also get roof skins with out sunroofs, but thats a bit extream atm for me lol

Dod the pins are on the bumpers because theres no bumper iron, saving weight you see, with out the pins how would i keep the bumpers on, i've saved loads of weight by doing that

I reckon keep it white, with the black RFX's and fit some graphics like this:

Enem's GTE (http://www.novaload.net/features/viewfeature.php?ref=2066)
http://www.novaload.net/images/car_images/2066big.jpg

...but in yellow with black borders - seen them in that colour before but can't find a pic of them!!

OR try some nova sport style graphics, or VXRacing style...

Mike.

iff i was going to put some graphics on my car they'd be the early vauxhall motorsport graphics

like these

that would look good, the DTV/GM Euro sport graphics

seen one in the liverery, looked very nice

Mike.
26-08-05, 09:03 PM
it would have to have white bumpers though, too look right imo

Dod
26-08-05, 09:44 PM
Aye, they're the Early Irmischer logos as far as i mind. Used to be able to get grill and boot badges with that design on them. Been looking for them for ages but to no avail. :(

Mike.

with a track car you want as little weight as possible, so go for the early mk1 bumpers that are only small. Remove anything that doesnt need to be there, i.e spoilers and trim.

Mike.

the interior is almost, completely stripped, i've started cutting out seat brackets and other worthless brackets, the bumper are very light, no bumper iron, its got racing Revolution wheels on it, and fibre glass panels
