Can anyone help me get my fuel gauge working on my 88 SR. i have fitted a new sender unit and gauge and it still dont work!!

mine works but when it gets down to ?10 in the tank the gauge shows nothing, but when it gets down to about a fiver it goes up again. Cant help, but just thought i would let you know about mine. Get a new dash, thats what i got told, but cant really be ared to do that!

The spade connector sometimes corrodes, breaking the connection on the wire just before it reaches the sender unit.Try trimming back a bit and fitting a new connector.

must be dody wireing then davey run sum new tempory wire from the clocks to the sender unit and check ti see if that will sort it

Similar thing with mine... it works fine over half full but as soon as you go past that mark it drops to empty and bounces up and down when you drive up hills... hehe

The fuel tank senders wear out as well.
