Pick up a few cans of paint from halfrauds - they're currently on 3 for 2 on the sprays - and paint a few bits, that can make it stand out. Also try fitting some coloured led bulbs behind the dash, you should be able to get enough of the right ones for under ?15 from www.ultraleds.co.uk ... could also fit some ebuyer neons (under ?10 inc postage) into the footwells and wire them into the interior light circuit

No idea about the digidash, but the std dash you can... 501 capless in that as the main bulbs and a few 286T's (I think) as auxiliary bulbs.

the main halogens on the digidash are dealer only

best thing and the cheapest would be to fit clocks from a GTE/GSi with the temp sensor and oil pressure on separate gauges. Also has a rev counter. Easy to wire up (couple of wires tops) and simple to swap over.

Get a set with white dials and youre laughing!

clocks on ebay go for ?5 regularly - lockwood white dial set ?30+- a bit

Personally I'd avoid the colour coding knobs etc unless you do them silver or summut because it can look tacky and if not done properly or if you dont prep the plastic well enough (ioe remove the dash shine stuff that will have been wiped on for years by previous owners which is silicone based and repells paint) the paint wont stick

remeber they were factory coded in the sr/sri.... red or blue depending on interior... they look good if coloured properly in the cars colour...
