View Full Version : what interior for my mk1?
I decided i do not like my mk1 dash...mainly because the cd players a decade away and the heater controls makes me feel like im trying to land a plane.
I have found a mk2 dash for good price, however does it look ok with mk1 SR seats? and im considering carbon fibre door cards :S will it tie in together? theres not many interior shots in here :(
theres not many interior shots in here :(
Thats because hardly any novas have the interior still in
Get the mk2 dash, its miles better than mk1.
What kind of mk1 seats do you have?
Mk2 das's go nicely with mk1 interiors...
Mk2 Dash combo with a GTE interior would look nice, often fancied that if i ever have another mk1

rite fellas n fellettes i need info on mk2 dashes again...do i need all plugs etc?
You'll need:
> Dash (obviously)
> Dial cowling
> Upper mid section (middle vents left of the dials), headlight switch surround (right of the dials)
> Mk2 steering column shrouds
> Lower mid section (cig lighter area)
> Switches & buttons
> Rotary controls and possibly control cables - can't remember if its mk1 or mk2 cables you need
Desirable but not essential:
> Choke blanking plate if you have no choke
> Centre console
> Heater vents if you want the vents to work
> Glovebox
> RW Heater/Blower control plug - easier than having to re-wire the Mk1 item lol
As far as I remember you don't need all the plugs as the Mk1 plugs will fit the Mk2 ones (except for the RW Heater/Blower control which needs rewiring, but the plug will still fit - its just easier to match up the wires than swap them all round).
i fitted all the plugs when i did mine
also dont forget the mk2 heater matrix bottom cover
