Ive got a rear strut brace off a Astra GTE, Mk 2 and want to chop and weld it to the correct dimensions so it will fit my Nova SR.
What i'd like to know is the correct dimension from the centres of the two damper tops then i can cut the brace so the mounting holes are the same dimension.
Cheers,
Tony.

the rear strut brace should be placed across the rear struts, not the rear damper tops

bracing a rubber mounted shock absorber will do nothing

cut the brace so it fits between the two turrets and weld it on

or sell the bolt in brace to some paint buffing type and weld in a bit of plain cds tube

When you say weld accross the two turrets where do you mean?
accross the top of the rear seat holding bracket, the bracket above the damper tops?
Cheers,
Tony.

no below that, on the upright surface just below where the damper bolts on

alistair has a photo of his brace somewhere, perhaps he'd be nice and post it up
