Whose done this?? How do you fix the mdf piece in place and was it easy?
Any clearance probs with depth of speaker?

yes ive done it!
if u cut the mdf the same shape as the rear panel u can just fit them in at the front wit out any spacers....
but depends were u want 2 put them really!!!
theeres not much room on the drivers side coz of the petrol pipe!!!
u can fit them any way u want i scred mine in 2 place!!!
So did you screw the mdf to the car body then??
yea!!! at the top and 1 down the bootom by the floor

whats that made from mdf?? how did u get it to curv (it looks as though it does neway) cheers
yea, mdf, cut to the shape of the panel, with a pod made on top for the 6x9
not sure what you mean or where you mean its curved though

nah, sorry mate, didn't, not even got them no more, gave them to my mate, and i think he got rid of them
im going this to my car and is going very well. just got to fiber glass and then they are done
very almost there, what people think ?

heya im trying to do this at the moment a few questions did you use the original rear card for template or did ya make one from scratch also how did ya stop the doorcard fouling on the seatbelts

yer i'v got mine there, i had harnesses to put in any way which is a good thing cause the standard seatbelt was rubbing on the speaker.
I manged to get my 6*9 in with out it rubbing on my sealt belt, will get image tomorrow . Run them at an angle and move them quite close to the front of the 1/4, should be fine
after a year i have them finished what do people think ?

Looks good Timmy, I'd be apprehensive about taking people in the back and breaking the speakers and treading on the amp though (although I'm 6'4", have the seat all the way back and can only have the tiniest of people behind me!)
yeah you have a point about the amp but i have the seat all the way back and you can bealy see it also is most coverd by a matt as well been there for a while no problems , people just getting Zapped by the cones moving LOL

Fiberglass is all well and good ,BUT once you get serious bass going though your speakers all that will happen is the Fiberglass will just crack Cheers , Dave :thumb:
