Anyone out there changed a radio in a N-plate 106 there are no visable release pin holes! Friend yanked on out once nut cracked the dash.

A work friend wants to change hers I've drawn the short straw! It a base model so need facial pannel!
Did a GTI but that had visable relese pin holes that the old keyes pop into!

Any ideas?

Cheers

have you got a bit of plastic like a credit card but thinner? if so slip it in between the facia and the radio suround on the dash and iirc with it will slide, slip and push a metal catch. do this on each side. thats what i did on my ex's 106, when i did mine someone had already broken the brackets of it and wedged the thing in with an old coat hanger!

Pushing it from behind is how my mate broke his!

Will try jimmying down the sides that sounds like it will work!
