View Full Version : saxo owners crack me up !
Some chavved up saxo owner who has just bought a vts seems to think he can do 75mph in 2nd gear, and hes got just over 140break standard...
and with no licence
Where do people keep breeding these mongs from
There was a VTS at the 306GTi6 RR day in Andover that had 140bhp with just a filter and exhaust
Methinks the RR was marginally overreading somewhat lol
Its not just Saxo owners that do that sort of thing its quite common for people to make such claims (I dunno if its true or not) whatever car they own
BTW My 306 does 60mph in 2nd, but will be geared differently due to it having a 6 speed box.
A little exagertion there i think about the vts, they maybe quite quick but whats the point in having something like that for a 1st car.
1 their shite
2 their a saxo
and 3 i dont think you appreciate your motors as you go higher and higher from a young age, best to start with a low ratio engine and go from there
4. He'll never get insured as a first car, unless he's 30
I can vouch for the 306 doing 60 in 2nd... my mate has this:

...and drives like a man possessed
p.s. he also can't take a photo to save his life... the front end all dark and a sign pointing out the roof! tsk!
p.p.s who's going to spot whats wrong with that car then :p
Nice car!! :D
Not much wrong with that ;)
Looks like hes colour coded a few bits here and there and in sure the doors just had GTI on them but GTI 6 on the rear but that may have been the R plate. Its lower and has 17" wheels on it......dunno I can only see nice subtle mods.
lol yeah, he says hes paying 3200 full comp
Nice colour, erm the headlights are off of the later models..? :bday:
3200! Thats insane! And he'll probably only get about ?1500 back when he twats it

Nearly there.... its a Blaze Phase 3, which technically were never made  Came out the factory as a phase 2 with a load phase 3 bits and he's just finished it off...
I'd have one  (but not whilst the GT-Four is on my drive lol)

It is funny how some ppl get really wound(sp?) up by others quoting their cars can do this etc,
why bother worrying?
why not just let them believe that car does fantastic things, I mean surely if it does 75mph in 2nd in 3rd it must hit at least 110 by the time 5th has flatened out it'd be doin near on 200 mph
So chill woman!
let him have his belief, its not a problem

i remember racing a vts down the dual carriage way, i let him go for about 200m then went after him. His didnt do 140mph, mainly because thats what speed i went flying past him lol

   I had that back in my orange nova days with a saxo VTR, silly silly boy

Hmm, I can't imagine what attracts people to such a car, I wonder if it could be because:
1) They are probably one of the cheapest small hot hatches around
2) Come with lots of mod cons
3) Don't rust at the first sign of water like Novas
4) Are relativley nippy
5) Have the same chassis as the 106 (which was voted 3rd in the all time greatest cars by 5th gear a few years back)
He must be a complete idiot going for a quick modern car instead of a battered and rusted 13+ year old slow Nova
Don't get me wrong, I love my Nova to bits, but open your eyes people! Don't you have anything better to do than bitch about other makes of cars, Saxo's in particular?

lmfao busted my mate in the 306 with that, he's going on about how his car was doing 130 and I said "No it wasn't - I came tearing past you at 130 and you were standing still compared to me"
tsk, these silly people that only have two working wheels
are the other 2 square

Hear! Hear! Well said.

Leave him alone! Your sporting around 70bhp more than him. Mind you I think the GTI-6 is great but does suffer a bit after 110mph. Mine took ages to get to around 136mph - mind you with speedos not being accurate who knows how fast your going?
:P thought you might reply to that! Must say I'm a big fan of the 6, if I didn't have a Celica then that would have been my next choice.
1.2 novas are the best
Thats better

1.2 novas are too slow damn it
lol - Just had to reply :P
I also like the Civic Type-R but I already have a trackday car. If I got rid of the 6 and could afford one it would be my next car.
Yeah, there was a Type-R at the RR day at Andover a while back... had a few tweaks including 75bhp of N2O and made something well over 300bhp or equally silly... the scream of it on the rollers having the tits revved off it was crazy!! :o
Yup - I think I seen the video. You gotta love'em. Apparently you can get a supercharger kit for them that takes them to 400bhp for around 4k IIRC. Any car that can rev like that gets the :+: from me
