hoping it wont come through but knowing my look it will.
some cock in an escort pulled out of a junction infront of me tonight without looking and nearly wiped me out so i decided to sit up his arse and push him through a line of speed cameras but brake before i got to them forcing him through quickly, before aproaching the cameras on our side of the road i kept edging him further forward getting faster and faster not thinking about the camera on the other side of the road facing us (didnt think they could get traffic moving towards them) we passed the camera on the right with no other cars coming towards us and by my amazement he went through it and it flashed twice just as he left, and i passed through it.... :evil:
so im thinking it registered his speed and after he passed it in the wrong direction it flashed lighting up the front of my car :evil: how gay was that, so hes done me twice now in one night!! not happy. what do you guys think, should i be expecting three points or shall i forget it as i didnt think they could get you going towards them with bikes etc not having front plates?
i so hope i dont meet him tomorrow or i may be forced to hurt him! :o

If it was a gatso and you was heading towards it on the other side of the road , then it cant touch you.

yeh but i didnt think they registered you when you were speeding towards them when they are on the opposite side of the road facing you? thort they only caught you when you went through them on your side of the road?

If it was a gatso and you was heading towards it on the other side of the road , then it cant touch you. it was a big yellow boxed type one? how carnt they touch you if it flashes you?
the usual gatso's cant get you unless its on your side of the road and yes they flash twice to measure the speed. I've had a speed cam flash at me on the opp side of the road as well and didnt hear anything about it dam freaky and very bizzare and blinded shit out of me lol.
Some do both sides of the road.
A gatso is the grey box camera, now with yellow reflective tape on them.

I pass through one every day on the way home from work, it's on the opposite side of the road and as I travel towards it it flashes twice as you say.
In the last 4 years I must've set it off at least 80 times in a few different cars all registered to me :lol: :lol: :lol:
Fixed cameras can't get you going towards them, well at least that one doesn't 8)
in all fairness you should get convicted for being an arse, but hey ho i guess road rage is fine these days lol

Nothing to do with road rage mate, went through it one morning and it flashed, so i thought arrgghhhhhhh BALLOCKS!!!
But never heard anything, then found out you can't get prosecuted going toward a fixed camera, so now I just ignore it :lol: Well going toward it anyway!!

You won't hear anything if it was one of the older gatsos. I passed through one that was pointing in the opposite direction and it flashed me. That was at Christmas and I've not heard anything.
However, you should not have reacted to his poor driving. You endangered your life and his life acting in this manner. Consider yourself lucky that you didn't kill each other with your aggresive driving.

Well it'd piss me off aswell and i'd definately be on the horn and shouting some choice words at him/her, but by sitting on there bumper trying to get them to speed up the only thing thats going to happen is an accident. And say no-one gets hurt, it'll still be your fault and a claim on your insurance. And say someone does get hurt or killed-you'll be in jail. Your choice.

it wasnt quite reaching them limits, we were doing 60 in a 50 on a wide open road with no other cars around, not much chance of hurting anybody apart from him which i wouldnt of minded? if you check my car you will see why it pissed me off when he nearly hit me?

To take a picture of a car on the other side they would somehow have to swivel round in their box lol.

I have cut people up before, everyone makes mistakes, just think that you was lucky enough to be paying attention that you braked. Personally if it was me that had cut you up and you had followed me trying to push me down the road I would of stamped on the brakes, very hard, either causing you to cause an accident by ramming into me of veering off the road to avoid me, because you were driving too close.

I thought the radar faces the same way as the camera, so you're in the view of the camera when the radar picks up your speed?
I've had a Gatso flash me in the face before, my fault for speeding (difficult not to in the celica lol) but it did blind me temporarily - as it was a small road, if there were cars parked ahead of me on the side I'd have been sat in their boot lol. But as I said - my fault for not paying attention to my speed.
And no you won't get a NIP lol. BUT watch out, if they've got a lot of front pics, they might swap it for a Truvelo IR camera :wink:
Even better idea, note down the guy's reg plate, get some made up in his number, stick them on your car then spend the next few hours driving thru as many Gatso's as you can find :lol:

The 2 eyes you see on the gatso's as you are driving towards them, detect your speed by sending a signal out of 1 and recieving it in the other.
The camera knows how fast you are going (the limit) and waits for a set time for the car to travel then takes 2 pictures of the back of the car.
The white lines are there to show how far the car travelled between the 2 flashes. Your spped could also be woked out by the 2 pictures.
I'm guessing they work something like that anyway.

A gatso cant get you from the opposite side of the road, its too far offset from your direction of travel to get a correct reading and they only get you from behind anyway.
As mentioned, Truveos get you from the front. I know, ive got 3 points by one of them on the A43 an i was doing 82 in a van at 3 in the morning.

i was a week off my second yr.was well annoyed, my last points was 38 mph in a 30,pushed me over 6 points.week before i was caught coming back from skeggy(yeah i know,am poor,cant afford anywhere better lol - j/k) but went through speed camera doing 90(was standard,not mobile)but couldnt of had any film in it cause i never got a fine.wouldnt of mind saying yey i got revoked for doin 90, but revoked for 38?!come off it!but i passed again few months later,they never banned,just revoked back to leaner.was horrible catching bus :-( took test,got minors for driving too slow,cant win these days!
but then i should be a good girl eh!lol not be doing it again any time soon - well not gte caught lol

if you did you'll by up in court as well. for dangous driving. a guy i know did much the same thing on the way out of Southend, sat pushing a nova thru a camera in his 306 cabby. he was lucky they gave him points and didnt ban him.

read what, the computor reads the reg and matches it too your address through dvla, all the pigs do is post it.
afaik thats just the digital ones, I thought your average Gatso, Truvelo, RLC etc still need a wooden top to come out and get the pics and go through them all?

They looked at mine mate,my bro was gonna take my points and they noticed.they only got so many days (think it about 14)to get you done with it.they normally quiet quick,both mine came within a week.not sure on time limit but try and find out how many days it is, because they cant get you done if they dont send you fine out within that time.
You're thinking of the NIP - has to be with you in 14 days (doesn't include postage time so allow ~20 days).
