i think i went to trinity ( cant remember) its in the main bit next to walkabout and opposite the cinema, that was good but drinks were pricey and sumo is very good if you can find it lol

had a lovely night in nottingham a few years back ...went to see Slayer at Rock city....got a kickin on the door entrance cos a doorman took the whole of my ticket and wouldnt give me my stub ( they sell em when the gig starts for 10x the value and I wasnt havin any of it - and I collected stubs) so we had words and then a kickin As I left the venue I got another slappin from the same bloke n a mate outside as I tried to get to the train station to get home. Must have been a good night tho cos the reviews of the concert made nme and there were scores of violent outbreaks before , during and after the show........

Yeah from what I remember the atmos wasnt too friendly , but then again it was a thrash metal gig and everyone was trying to be mean and moody.....I find it all a bit embarassing now..

LOL - back in those days the "mosh pit " wasnt like it is today - gangs of blokes punching each other about , with arms and legs flying everwhere . The idea was to try to get on stage and belly flop ( slamdance ) back into the crowd , but this certainly had the affect to conflict violence ...if someone landed on you ( it hurt sometimes ) a small dig to show your displeasure would follow , then all hell would break loose . There were many a time I,d go home covered in lumps n bumps , proudly proclaiming to have had a good night out - what a twat !!
still i was only 18- and full of SPECIAL BREW .
