Sell it? lol

Try limited mileage, security, park it in a garage at night if you have one... errrrrm can't think of much else

Try CIS, Elephant & Admiral, HIC, Flux, Tesco etc

Fronting isn't recommended as you're basically saying your mum drives the car most of the time, and you only occasionally. If the insurance company find out (which they sometimes do, happened to my mate) you can be in the poo.

As Denny said, try picking up a cheap car and putting up with that for a year or two til you get some NCB, then try again.

I had a nova 1.4 not an sr/sri but the insurance group was 6, which is high enough if ur 17 and i got a quote thru my mum of 700 and 1200 on my own so u must be able to find one cheaper than that as its only a group 7. try www.autotrader.co.uk and they serach loads for you, worked 4 me lol

Add your mum as a second driver, it brings the price down (with admiral it brought mine down about ?200)

do pass plus and try insurers that accept this like norwich union for a big discount.

or have a sex change as its much cheaper for young female drivers to insure cars

you shud be able to get insured, i am insured on an sr as my first car first year driving , only 1400 a year

so you should be able to get on your mams easily unless she has been banned for like 10 years
