Hi everybody, I'm Dave 'Dangermouse' from Wigan in Lancashire, I write to you with information of hopefully new ownership of Bretts mindblowing nova as featured on TV a few years ago. I write this not to boast, but to say hi, to let everyone know the car is still alive and well and that when payment is completed I shall be the proud and, albeit extremely lucky owner of the beast. I am not some joe public member who is buying the car to rag the rods out of it. I read the feature years ago and still have to this day, the TV mag with the article in it. I always vowed that I wouldkeep my eyes peeled for this vehicle should Brett ever decide to sell it and low and behold, I spotted it in TV classifieds. After a visit to view the car this week with the girlfriend who, as women do, couldnt grasp the concept of spending so much money on a thirteen year old car, I searched for insurange quotes. I must say a huge shout out to Barry Grainger Insurance as advertised in TV this month for providing the best and most astounding insurance quote yet compared to the so called specialists which helped secure the thought of purchasing the vehicle. As well as the girlfriend who has changed her tune from 'a nova?!!!!! What do want one of them for?!!!' to a very excited 'GET IT!!!!' I think she was in shock at the fact that the nova was minter than her 54 plate 1.3 CDTI corsa C! So as I make accomodations to finish the payment and purchase of the car, I promise to let anyone who is a fan of the car updated on the cars use and track outings(it aint being pootled about to shows on a trailer and never being used as it wuz built for I can promise you that!) and look out for me at the last few shows of the year as I should be putting appearences with the car in as many as I can make it to, time and funds permitting. Trax should defo be on the cards as Brett informed it is a bit pilgramage for the vehicle being run there for the past 10 years. I doubt I will be 'giving it the beans' as much as Brett has in the past as I want to learn the cars drive and handling characteristics first with a few testing days. Please feel free to message me and I will answer when I'm next on here. Take care, drive safe, and have fun, Dangermouse :D p.s. I was quite shocked at the registration number of Bretts vehicle compared to my mint Nova Sri that I used to own, having only one digit different between the two. Has anybody any information on registrations beginning 'K' and ending 'AGS' many thanx

I was waiting for my numbers to come up so i could purchase that. I'd guess your paying big money for it, but you couldnt build one close to the spec for that. And you'd never finish it to the same standard.

Well done,

Keith

there are loads and loads of K***AGS sri's arround.... i think a dealer in the north west must have reg'ed a load

a word of for note bretts car may be mint but it's still a nova, winters, salt and not being garaged 'will' kill it, i assume u have another car as a daily driver?

and don't even think about taking it on a beach ;)

Nice one! I felt like that when I was driving K95VHD home.

My only advice to you if you are gonna track it (which is what it needs) is to get a baffled sump fitted (if it doesn't already have one).

I know its rude to ask, but how much did it go for in the end? ?8k?

Cheers and congratulations!

Ben.

Donts worry it aint goin anywhere near a beach and at the end of September it will be doing as the hedgehogs do and goin into hibernation till next March the 25th(my birthday, trust me, it aint a hint!) when it shall surface for the show season. It will remain mint throughout trust me and I wont let its standards slip 8)

Hi mate,
I'am a good friend of Bretts, so glad to hear its gone to a good home.
Look forward to seeing it at Trax in few weeks. Was Trax last year when it was last seen by most people.
You planning on booking some track time with it?

Nice one.

Cheers

Congratulations on buying Bretts motor!

Sounds like its going to a good home!

Like Martin K im a good mate of Bretts and im so pleased that the car is going to someone who will cherish and ' keep on top ' it.

The Car is a credit to both Brett & Dave France (DIY Dave/Fearless) who built the car ' No expensive spared '

I just hope you keep on top of the car and keep it in pristine condition, believe you me you'll need to!!

Lets hope you get down to Trax in it, it will be good to see it again, not seen it for ages! I won't be in mine as im tracking the VX...

Theres nothing much else the car needs to finish it off, other than probably getting a straight cut gearbox!

Enjoy! 8)

Cheers

Nick

*Clears throat* really? Not all women I'll have you know..if I had the cash, I would be on that car in a flash! It really is a stunner (even if it is a mk2 lol).

Can't believe there hasn't even been one proper buyer, the car is the dogs danglies!

It will always be Bretts nova though i think this is where the problem lies.

Can you imagine it? You do anything to that car and people will say that you have ruined it etc, whereas if Brett had done it people would love the change.

The poor old car is suffering with being type cast!
