light brackets for spots

just got a set of light brackets off ebay for my cibie spots and fogs but tryed fitting them to the car and ill have to cut the bumper for fitting them. doesnt look like it would be very secure. any help greatfull

I made up some custom brackets to fit my big lamps. Few hours bending bits of metal and jobs a good 'un!

I had one bracket coming off the bumper to hold the lamp in place, then another joining that one across from the bumper bar to hold it steady. Admittedly though that was on an aftermarket fibreglass bumper, but I probably had a lot less room than behind a standard bumper.
