Fueling

GOt meself a 1.4sr not so long back, its running like a sack of spuds, only idol revs at 500, then conks out, been told its the carb, so thinking of buying a 1.6 carb, manifold and any other bits im gonna need, thing is, is it worth it, what shall i do about the auto choke and what car should i get it from?

u cant just stick a 1.6 carb on a 1.4 and expect it to run right, it wont

either get another 1.4sr carb or simply take yours to a garage and get it setup properly

i was told it would go straight on and would improve fueling?

i dont want to tune the engine up as mush as i dont think i need to, its only going to be a show car, but i at least want it to run right!

It will go straight on with the correct inlet manifold.
But it will run crap, as it will be setup for a 1600 engine, so it will overfuel a 1400 engine.
