just a couple of questions

is a kenwood 4-channel 600watt amp powerful enough or not powerful enough to run 2 pairs of pioneer tsa-6910 330watt 6x9s?

also, what amps should i use to run 4 JBL 12' 1000watt subs? and how should i wire those up!

lastly, has anyone put 6x9s in the doors, was it easy and do you have any pictures of the finished work?

cheerz!

number 1 yes, more than enough power!
number 2, you would need a (yellow/red top) battery or a few normal ones, on a split charge system, so they dont drain your main battery! oh and a few powercaps

Just use two 4ch amps for the subs, battery/charging system should be fine.
Mine was when i had 3 subs on the go, and my fanbelt was slipping a bit.

For 4, i would just use a powercap, and split a main live feed into two for the amps.

yeah when he pulls up, turns engine off, plays music its going to drain his battery, and then the car wont start!

add remember that video of mine, 3 batts and 3 power caps, it his a bass not and drained all 3 instently

well my system is abit more louder than what expected it to be!

instead, ive bought 2 pairs of pioneer 280watt 6 x 9s which will run of a 600watt 4channel kenwood amp, and 4 12' JBL 1200watt subs, but i just need an amp/amps to run the subs!

ive been told to use 1 amp with one channel but its a digital amp at about ?200, if i do this, what shall i do about power as its going to drain the life out of it?

which amps should i have and how should i wire them up?

another question

how many power caps should i use to run 3 amps, providing that i use 2 subs per amp and the 3rd amp running the speakers?

and how do i wire the lot together?

Not really up on power caps so can't help you there, but the subs - am I right in thinking you've got 4 of them? The 12" JBL 1200W jobbies?

1200W is the sub's PMPO wattage, this is the sub's peak power and tells you what power the sub can handle in a short burst (if you were to continually feed it 1200W then expect it to melt lol). You'll be more interested in the RMS rating - I'd guess its about 350-400ish watts? - which is the continual power handling of the sub. i.e. the wattage you can continually feed it without melting!

What you'll need to do is find an amp that can match the RMS rating. So for example, if you could find an amp that had 4 channels each putting out 400W RMS (or whatever your subs require), this would work well with your subs. In reality thats a bit much unless you have a lot of money to spend! So you'd be better off buying a couple of 4 channel amps and bridging the outputs to get closer to the RMS you need.

Don't worry too much about the digital amps, tbh I don't really think you can justify the cost as the subs you have probably won't give full benefit.

In my experience, Magnat do some good amps, and quite often pop up on ebay at good prices.

forget caps get a second battery

i take it your subs are gt3's

with 4 subs id either get

2 jbl 75.4's and at ?100 each there a bit of a bargain

or get a velocity BD2 this is ?350 but will give your subs 500wrms each

cheerz for your help

ive looked at the subs, and they are 300rms (i finally now understand all this now, lol, cheerz!)

so im thinking, with my new battery, a 70amp alternator, 1.5farad cap, i think it should be enough to run what ive got in mind!

and ive looked at some amps, ive seen a jbl 4-channel, 147watt per/ch amp for 100 lizzies (cant do the pound sign on this comp!) so should i buy two of those and bridge them?

cheerz!
