1400SPI and 1400 carb engine.

I know the cam housing/cam are different for the fuel pump, and the inlet/carb is different. And the exhaust manifold/exhaust.

IS there anything else?
Anything different for the coolant connection to autochoke etc?

My spare 1400spi astra engine i am thinking about swapping to a carb.

Build the spare into a nice t40'd monster! The bottom ends are basically the same(piston heights might be different?), just build up a nice 1200 or 1400MPI head and use a 14NV cam and housing, with either the SR 4-2-1 manifold and downpipe or a 4-1(ashley). get the right manifold for the forties and a Fuel pressure regulator and off you go   :!: :!:

Why, are you paying for all this?
Think i will just stick to SPI, but with a de-cat, GTE cam etc.
