saw one for sale on ebay and just wondered exactly what its job is. i know its for setting up timing but how exactly?? is there any point without a performance cam? thanks

i think the only difference between an uprated cam pulley n a standard one is uprated one is stronger n lighter nt much point without performance cam

they're adjustable so that you can get the static timing of the engine right, which you can't really do properly without using solid lifters iirc, most peeps fit them because they look good.

yes u have to watch tho - the red ones are lighter than the blue ones but they arent as strong, so u need to decide wether or not u need strength or lightweight :roll:

on a serious note they let u adjust the cam timing which can give more power, most commonly used with performance cams but there can often be gains to be had with careful setup on a rolling road even with a standard cam
