got a bit more done this weekend, can't remember what i've told you about so this is how the car is now.

both rear 1/4's are on, all the welding is done apart from a bit in the boot. the roll cage is in, so is the enginewhich has had TAS engine mounts and a F13cr gearbox with 4.18 final drive. all the suspension was fitted but now the fronts are off again because i am fitting eccentric topmounts and sorting out the front wheel bearings which are fuked. i've re fitted the wiring loom, and steering coloumn(which has also had a quaife quik rack) i didn't get chance t paint the interior before refitting all the stuff so i will have to strip it all before trax, either that or i will leave it grey(primer). on the bodywork side, it still needs doors and tailgate fitting, it has had the Mk2 front end fitted, but i still need a bumper.

before next monday i still need to(to be drivable, still way off finished) get some spigot rings for my discs made up, get some drive shafts and wheels bearings(i'll probably get the whole front steering knuckle) seats need fitting, so do doors and tailgate, i need to find a bumper. the brake lines need sorting out, i have braided ones ready to fit. i need some slicks fitted to my new MO's. the fuel tank and exhaust need fitting. i also need a new front screen.

lol

quite a list, i'm sure theres more but i can't remember.

here's a few pics i took this evening

how come youve cut the inner door panels out? That fir weight? Wont it reduce rigidity of doors?

Looks well smart though - Love the original mk2 grill - sick of all this mesh - so much of it about up by me on others cars feel like I'm surrounded by max power wannabee's

doors have been gutted for the weight saving, rigidity isn't a problem really as i have door bars on the cage.

the MK2 grill is staying that way, i'm not into the meshed look either.

Looks good benji. U just going to drive it like that at Llunduno (sp)? I hope u get it sorted in time. And just find a standard mk2 bumper for the time being. And totally agree about the grill i used to be into the meshed ones but perfer the standard ones now.
