Carrying on from the spoiler thread, which i will attempt next week.

I have some gte skirts, but no clips.

Whats the best way to fit these?
I have a new tube of Tigerseal
But i dont know whether it will hold them.
If possible, i dont want to drill holes.
I dont like drilling into rust free bodywork.

Won't the clips require drilling into the bodywork thought?

I dont want to drill if can get away with not drilling the body.

Thats more my style, double sided tape
Where did he put the screws? In the ends where the arch lips are?

Does epo still come on here? Dont think i have seen a post of him for a bit.

have a look at topbuzz.co.uk (or summut like that) for a full guide.

I'd recommend drilling the sill for the clips - that way the feckers wont come off. TBH the holes are only 4mm and once drilled you can touch them up with a touch up brush. I did this and that was 3 years ago and not one of them has rusted!

Make sure you get the right rivets though - they have special tops on them so the clips wont foul on the rivet heads. Also the covers for the bottom will attach themselves better.

If yer really worried, once rivetted in place (the rivets will totally seal the hole by the way) you can always dap a bit of grey stripe of similar seam sealer over them.

I have had a look at the topbuzz guide.

Looking at the guide has confused me even more
Do the clips go on the side part of the sill i.e directly Under the door
Does anything clip on underneath the skirt?

Lol, i can see this ending up a right b*lls up

yeah the clips do go on the side of the sill and the rivet things go underneaith the sill where to have the mounting points on the skirt.

Topbuzz says you can get away with not securing the underneaths, so it looks like i will have to drill holes in the side of the sides for the clips :|

Where do i get the clips from? Just a vauxhall dealer?

Dont look like i will be fitting them this week, its pi**ing it down

all i did was firstly underseal the sills as shit gets stuck between the sill and skirt once fitted.
got some double sided foam tape which ran along the hole top edge of both bits of skirt
then positioned them, the double sided foam tape held them as i put some self tapping screws on the underneath for extra strenght,

the foam tape does not damage your paintwork if they ever come off, and is very strong tape! and the underseal seals the self tappers in so rust does not occur,

dont use tiger seal as it takes hours to dry and is very messy, plus if you ever remove them its a bitch to get off!
