the first thing you need to do is find out how these subs should be mounted i.e free air, sealed box or ported box. this is the most important part of any install because if the speakers arnt mounted right, the sound will be crap. alot of fancy looking installs sound shit because its difficult to try and make it look well yet also install each component correctly.

with two 10" subs this shouldnt be too much of a problem in a nova boot.

for a mint sounding install the best thing you can do is (assuming the subs are to be boxed) make a box to the exact size/volume as the sub manufacturer recommends. this could be a double box or two singles and will cost you around ?30 for carpet, ?10 - ?15 for some 15mm mdf, ?3 for a box of screws, ?3 for a tube of silicone to seal the boxes and ?5 for spray glue. fit your subs, 6 x 9s in the shelf and your amp on the back of your seat or the boot floor. take your time and keep everything neat and tidy.

for a better looking system this could be anything depending on what you like from the above including neons, false floors etc to full fibre glass pods and boxes.

personally if i was you id make two seperate boxes. one for each side of the boot to sit neatly in the corners, the subs will face back the amp would be mounted on a false floor covered in coloured cloth with all the wires tucked away nice and neat and a neon shining on the amp. another false floor would be fitted over the top with cooling fans for the amp and a perspex window over the amp. so it'll look right good all lit up!

you can leave the wheel where it is and make the false floor out of a light weight/ or thin sheet of wood or get some tyre weld.

heres a pic of an install i did for a mate of mine with a false floor etc...

Ring the RAC :P

Come to think of it, if you're building your own box(es) you'll need a couple of speaker wire connectors too
