standard acrylic car paint will handle 220c which is more than enough
i painted my calipers with plasticote and my brothers with vauxhall glasiar white from halfords
just remember to remove the sliders and mask the piston seals off
and use a primer

I'll be painting by hand anyways i can't be assed to remove them from the car but yeah obviously i'll be careful to mask up everything,
cheers guys!
Dans bro said he used hammerite on his calipers and once hot the paint all ran off lmao

A mate of mine re-cons callipers now and again, he strips them right down, shot blasts and nitro-primes them at work, then just uses normal spray paint. He hasn't had any complaints about the paint to-date, and he did the first set over a year ago.

I managed to burn my caliper paint off of my drums. The disc calipers have been fine though.

lmfao at that jim! has to be said though, it is really a styling topic, as the color of your brakes doesn't really matter other than to person who owns the car wanting them to look nice.

Please tell me you have more common sense than this. It doesn't take a genius to figure out that this sort of paint can be bought from Halfords

hmm looks like ive got baked white paint to look forward to lmao
Stuart - Yup
boredbloke - That WAS the proper stuff!
I suppose thats why its called caliper paint rather than drum paint
The Hammerite Smooth never burnt off :!:

So do the drums get hotter than the calipers? Don't bother with the caliper paint in that case

i spose thats prolly because the drums the friction material where as the caliper is just the mechanical device that makes the brakes work
im sure if u painted yur front disks u'd have a similar experiance :P
