1.2 engine number help

i changed my engine to a 1.6 but want to change it back for my own naughty reasons but do not have my old engine number. Could i use anybodies engine number or will i have to visit a scrap yard?

do you really think someones going to give you their engine number?

What do you think DVLA would do if they see 2 identical numbers on their database.

Just pay the extra ?60 or whatever.

well i have a 1.6 gte in it now and changed the log book, so i got this engine from a breaker and he didnt put the car in my name and it cant be declared scrapped so if i changed my log book to this 1.6 number then i must have the same number as another nova out there?

i was thinking of going scrap yard and getting one of one of those? i aint doin this for tax purpose something a bit more stupid
