1.6i gte conversion

am buying a 1.6 gte engine and box with the loom and a was wondering wot else i am gonna need to replace or add when fitting it. am fitting this engine to a 1.2i nova. cheers.

Replace fuel pump for an MPI one.

Then IIRC drop the whole engine etc straight in.

you are goin to need to sort the fuelin out aswell imo i would change the petrol tank and external fuel pump from a gte/sri/gsi aswell but some people use a astra mpi intank pump and mod to fit your tank


also the most important part to change is your brakes to at least gte/sri/gsi spec altough 16v ate is recomended :lol:

aye - dont forget to get the ignition module, ecu and airflow stuff too.

You may also wanna get the radiator (think the GTE ones bigger?) - exhaust manifold and you'll need to get new exhaust of your gonna want to get performance out of it...rather than choke it to death!

Don't forget your Fuel lines, unless your cars already injection.

GTE/GSI have a swirlpot in the tank so ideally use one of them... Most importantly... Upgrade your brakes...
