A mate has just asked me this, and i have no idea.
Will 15s with 205/55 tyres on fit onto a mk2 nova.
Or are the tyres too wide?

I'd say 55 would be a touch too tall.... if the offset was good and they were 40 or 45's they'd fit better

They are the cav gsi rims i was sposed to be buying.
So they are ET49.
But they have standard sized cav gsi tyres, 205/55 on them, and the tyres are brand new as well

Throw em on, they'll be grand, seriously, not too much difference between them and a set of 17/40 or even 16/45s mate, as for too wide? Bollox. I had 215 on mine for a time, and they only scrubbed when flat out over Hump Backed Bridges.

are you sure they are CAV rims ?

the 16" calibra's with the same design wheel had fatter and bigger profile tyres.

However they are 5 stud fitment - so check that they're not cally rims to be sure

They are cav gsi wheels, 4stud et 49.

Olly H told me on MIG that he tried 205 tyres on his cav rims, and they rubbed his coilover.
They may miss my shock tho, as i don't have coilvers.
But i don;t want to buy the rims, and then they won;t fit and i am stuck with them.

ok no worries mate, i made that mistake, saw them in a scrapyard - and without paying attention went to get some cash for them

it was only when i got back that i realised they were from a cally - 5 stud 16's. And i remembered they had 205's or 210's or something quite fat !

Mate, ask for a lend of them for a day, test them and if they dont fit, throw him twenty quid and say thanks but no thanks, they'll be grand, seriously.

theres no chance of getting 205 55 15 tyres on your nova with 15" rims, the best i have done is 195 55 15 with flat arches lowered 60mm and they scraped with sumbody in the back.
