HOW??????? NO ECU

hi all

Im not mechanic and my mate has an astra gsi c20xe and has no ecu and hes running the standard injection not carbs how the hell did he do it ???

He mustn't have done it, because it won't run without an ECU.
You sure its a c20xe?

The ECU could be out of view.

Think they were mounted on the bulkhead of a few GTE's only...

The ecu in the astra gsi is under the passenger seat and the end of the loom is there but no ecu plugged in and its deff a c20xe i have 1 in my nova i know what there like buts i has standard injection and i didnt think it was possible he said its runs of the crank sencor or somthing and all the wiring everywhere is all chopped and changed. I said theres no ecu and it gained him 30bhp or and as far as i can see there is no ecu well not where it should be its doing my headin trying to work it all out

Go rip the drivers footwell off, and get that ECU :P :lol:

hmm no fuel gives a 30bhp increase. ill have to remember that

i must be making some serious power on mine with the engine turned off. He must be on carbs to get an increase in power wiht no ECU? otherwise not possible

just taken mine off and it went like fuck! (like FUCKin nowhere) its just not possible.
