Smooth Boot... Recess or no recess??

Hi,
Im smoothin ma boot jus now and i dnt know 2 jus take the plastic strip off and the lock, or smooth the recess too. What to do??

I was just gonna keep the recess in mine and smooth lock and handle out, but the recess in different at both sides on the top, i.e slightly different curves, anyone elses boot like this?

i have my handle removed and de locked.. looks kool, going too get it smoothed though for sho'

Iv got mine smoothed and it looks well sweet get it smoothed it looks better than having a number plate there

Keep the recess, just smooth off the wiper & lock holes.
Thats what i'm doing with mine, cleans up the back end without it looking like a Metro with the plate on the bumper !!!

Flushed boots are to common. Flush the handle and wiper and leave the recess.

Riggy, some Import style number plates would look smart in that recess - they'd fill it a bit better than the std UK size

naaaah, not my cup of char at all, smooth all the way with the recessed back bumper, jobs a good un :)

or do what Ian did on his old nova and make a 'ickle recess for an 'ickle number plate

dont like the smooth but keep the reccess look, would look better with the number plate light and grab handle there still....

smooth the tailgate but keep the recess, there different and look good

keep the recess but use an early style boot without the grab handel but just a small door lock, as the recess is smaller. and is easier to smooth, (like de-locking a door)
