hello peps

i need general advice on this as i am not 100% sure on this.

do i need a proper lower alternator bracket for the 45's. my inner wing has been completely cut and plated as opposed to a box section cut out.

i would appreciate peoples advice on this.

i told you before homo lol, i had to make a plate up to lower the alternator by 50mm. Then extend the top bracket used for tightening the belt. Only problem with that was i had to re do the inner wing cut out as the alternator wasnt in the same position any more.

Did you want help fitting these ?

im not an engineer im afraid lol, i got the engineering shop down the road to do mine. Its only sheet of 5mm metal, with four holes in two 50mm lower than the first. So you bolt the alternator to the bottom an the plate to where the alternator used to fit.

My engine was originally the dizzyless type, so had a different alt bracket set-up.
I just used the earlier adjustable bracket (as with the late engines the p.s pump has the tensioner on it). All worked fine.

Like austin said.
I had the same prob with my TBs. I luckilt had aout 4 1.6 engines lying around, that had the perfect bracket attached!

Have a look around, you might be surprised!
