Which wheels??? quick replies needed!

carrying on from down this forum(wheels too wide)

i need to decide by tomorrow whether to sell my wheels, or to keep them.

So the question is, keep my 16" wheels, get the rear arches rolled. And fit them, and hope their width is legal, and they don't catch anywhere else.

Or sell them( i have been offered ?200, but they have 4 almost new tyres on :? ), and get some mint condition cav gsi rims(epo style ones :) )


What do you recon?
I think it would look better with 16" alloys, but with the cav wheels it would handle a lot better, and tyres are cheaper to replace etc, and i would have money in my back pocket from selling mine :)

Need replies ASAP, as a guy is coming pick my wheels up tomorrow if i definiently want to sell them.

If the et's right (45-49) then you should keep em and roll them.

I'd get ?280 for them - especially if theyre new rubbers.

Cavi GSi wheels are lovely - I'm after a set meself - theyre 15's (unless youre thinking of different ones)

They are ET45 mate, but as you see in the pic they stick out pretty wide.

They are the cav wheels mate, 15s.
With almost new tyres and excellent condition wheels, ?100.
I won't say where, just in case you nip in before me :lol:

So, you don't think ?200 for my 16s is enough?
I have a receipt for ?184 for 4 tyres in Jan this year :(
So ?16 for a set of rare 16s is pretty cheap.

Think i will get the cav rims, but may not sell mine just yet.

If you can scrape together the ?100 without selling your fat wide boys then keep them and buy the cav ones too.

That way you can either decide to keep the fat wide boys for a future project or get a better other and sell them.

200 quid is a joke. For them wheels with fairly new tyres ure looking at about 300 quid at least. What size tyres u got on ur masitalys? are they 195 or 205?

Tey ain't in tip top conditioon, 3 have some kerb marks, 1 has a 2" scratch where i had ann accident with my drive gates :lol: :oops:
But if there rare, surely they should be worht more? than any old set you see on everyones car :?

Think i will try hang on to them, but tbh i would rather have ?200 in my hand than have some wheels lying about i can;t yuse.
The tyres are 195/45/16s.
But you never know, maybe might be able get some more money for them.

I could either take the ?200 and run, or try and keep them for some more money.
I have the money for my cav rims, so thats not a problem.

But the 16s are getting in the way, i mean i have move them everyday so my mum can get to the cooker :lol: :lol:

White looks rubbish there was a set on ebay while ago. Gloss black all the way esp. on a white car. Just look how nice they look on Olly Hewitts.

I would spray them black if i actually had the wheels :lol:

I am now thinking of spraying my SR steelies in anthracite, as they look a bit tired. And it would only cost me about a fiver in paint.
