Knackered Distributor!

Hi ppls been havin some problems wiv me old baby! Wot happens is when it gets hot and i stick it in2 third or 4th the engine pinks slightly which indicates 2 me a knackered distributor! and i was right! i went up2 lucas uk 2 c how much a recon 1 wud b and its ?100.85 exchange! Any1 know where i can get 1 cheaper? cheers

which engine is it? lucas didnt make any ign stuff for the nova as an OEM ;)

also pinking dosent mean fooked dizzy, jsut get the car setup at a krypton tune.

Its a 1.2 and its deffinetly the distributor coz i had it checked out @ a garage and it turns out its not advancing at all! On mine its bosch but lucas can still get 1 in 4 me?! an id rather have a reconned 1 coz at least then ill know its gona work properly where as if i got 1 from a scrappers i cud have the same trouble!
